šŸ§ Is Your Faith ANCIENT??

ā€œI want to remind you of the Gospel ā€¦ you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this Gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the Word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have BELIEVED in vain.ā€ 1 Corinthians 15:1-2

OK friends, Iā€™ve got an important question for you today ā€¦. How important is your faith? Like, seriously. The reason Iā€™m asking the question is that I think it is entirely possible that some of us have made an IDOL of faith ā€¦ thatā€™s FAITH as we understand it.

In case you didnā€™t already catch the subject, Iā€™ve been NECK-DEEP in a study of what the ANCIENTS, as in the Apostles and early church, believed in regard to faith. So I assure you, you donā€™t want to miss my new video linked šŸ‘‡šŸ‘‡šŸ‘‡ in which I UNPACK modern versus ancient belief. And so, when I ask ā€œWhat is ancient faith??ā€ What Iā€™m really getting at is this ā€“ Is your faith BIBLICAL?

I have to ask this because it seems to me that much of what is preached in the church today, could BEST be called ā€œeasy-believism,ā€ meaning, we think faith is only MENTAL.

This is where ANCIENT faith comes in ā€¦ this is the kind of faith PAUL preached in our opening verse where he seems to use ā€œBELIEFā€ in the sense of ā€œthe PRACTICE of faith.ā€ Do you see the difference between faith AS ACTION and faith as an idea only. Mental faith doesnā€™t have the power to save and it may in fact be ā€œdemonicā€ faith šŸ˜± (See James 2:19).

Ancient faith, however, often makes no distinction between inward and outward activity. Ancient faith influences not only the mind, but also the soul and it spills over into our actions.

Ancient faith, is ALWAYS powerful to save. Ancient faith is BIBLICAL faith, and ancient faith ALONE justifies! šŸ˜€

Application:

How would you DEFINE faith in one sentence?

Have you ever thought about faith as ACTION?

How does your faith MEASURE UP to ancient faith?
