Â
Good morning, friends! If you havenât already heard, Iâve been in the middle of a deep dive on the topic of EVANGELICAL and REFORMED doctrines in the Bible and early church fathers. If you havenât already done so, click the link below to view one of those videos đ
Â
Well, whatâs YOUR answer to the question?? If youâre attending an Evangelical Protestant church, youâre probably like: âNo brainer,â right?!
Â
Well, itâs not quite that simple, because non-Protestants like Catholics and Orthodox will often criticize us for not having a faith that is ROOTED in the historic church. Now, I will admit that the early church probably didnât have laser lights đ±Â đ ⊠HOWEVER, you would be surprised to see how many of the practices of contemporary Evangelical churches CAN be found in the Bible AND in the practices of the early church! Â
Â
YES, you heard me right, there is PLENTY đ€Ż of âEvangelicalâ and âProtestantâ in the ancient church! For example, the word âGospelâ is âEvangelionâ in the Greek and, you guessed it ⊠thatâs why weâre called âEvangelicalâ ⊠weâre passionate about the Gospel ⊠Weâre passionate about evangelism!
Â
YET, in my new series I take things even further to show you how we DO see the CORE Protestant doctrine of justification by faith ALONE in Paul, James and even the earliest Christian writings! Friends, PLEASE donât miss this series because it will build up your faith in the Bible as you know it like never before! Just click below to add some FERTILIZER to your faith and be blessed!!
