šŸ¤”Ā Does God JUDGE? Yes! šŸ˜±

ā€œFor he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed.ā€ Acts 17:31 NIV

Ā

Hey friends! I know Iā€™ve been talking a lot about HELL lately. To say that this topic is UNPOPULAR in todayā€™s climate is an understatement. So I guess this discussion has me thinking: ā€œWill God REALLY judge us?ā€

Ā

I ask this because we seem to live in a world where people truly donā€™t care about ANY moral standard. I KNOW you know what Iā€™m talking about ā€¦. Thatā€™s why they say, ā€œDonā€™t judge me!ā€Ā

Ā

But whatā€™s the deal? If there IS a judgment, wouldnā€™t it actually be LOVING to tell someone about Godā€™s judgement?? Well, the answer to your question is ā€œYESā€!

Ā

This DECLARATION is exactly what the apostle Paul preached to a group of pagans in Athens. In fact, he spoke very directly and specifically about Godā€™s judgement THROUGH Jesus Christ as he encouraged them to head the warning.

Ā

Donā€™t forget, these people had no frame of reference for what he was telling them. But he said it anyway.

Ā

So, if this is the case, why donā€™t we do the same? Why do we sanitize our message in order to accommodate, thinking this is actually a GOOD thing?

Ā

Paul didnā€™t.

Ā

Think about that this week when you have an opportunity to share your faith and see how the Holy Spirit prompts you!

Ā

Application:

What do you think about Jesusā€™ future judgment?Ā

Ā

How is this judgment relevant today?

Ā

How should the church communicate Godā€™s judgment to the world around them?
